About time I did a bit of TLC to my own kit, I got asked to fleece line a issued smock afew times over the last week or so, I’ve only had minimal interaction with clothing so I thought I’d try it on my own kit before touching anyone else’s.

Quite happy with the out come, I also brought so new socks while out today and cut them down for cuffs, I couldn’t wait any longer for the eBay delivery, the wind on the coast is a killer.

Then the idea hit, why not try out a gortex Barrier within the cuffs, so with a spare set of Gary socks, I now have a set of hidden gortex cuff for that tighter seal on the wrists.

✔️Hood turned into a collar
✔️Cuffs added for that extra bit of warmth
✔️Chest pockets removed
✔️Arm pockets removed and patches added

Cuffs were binded to stop and fraying of the Mtp material.

A field shirt out the door, UBAC pockets with MTP hook on both sleeves, coyote brown elastic loops on both pockets for pens or cylumes if your on a night fire.

Compass pocket added to the front of the shirt, hook backed so you can still attach a rank slide, with a MTP webbing strap and lashing point for your compass.

This has been a idea that’s been sitting on my mind for a while.

The LRR set.

Designed to sit comfortably under a body armour and not dig in to the shoulders on long and heavy days.

With slightly bigger pouches than your issued sets, this means you can carry all the essentials when you’re out.

A mesh body yoke, split into three parts, Velcro connection along with a Velcro 50mm webbing strap to aim in the correct fitting to the users body.

Right hand side admin pouch for the morale and ready to hand bits of kit.

Radio pouch, with antena port centralised on the pouch cover.

Cam cream pouch on the front of the radio pouch.

Large rear admin pouch with a divider to split it back to two pouch’s if you need.

Molle lid and Molle ride hand side on the left hand side pouch.

Ammo pouches to fit 3 mags in each, elasticated draw string to keep them tight avoiding battle rattle, along with a upwards opening Velcro lid.
